Sawdust and Mildew

Am I the only 25-year-old in America that still eats Froot Loops for breakfast? Damn these things are good. Follow your nose? Sure thing, you fucking awesome bird. I'll follow you anywhere, Mr. Sam.

As if the Ron Artest story isn't crazy enough, here come two redshirt freshmen wide receivers from Michigan State to make him look relatively normal...what the hell is wrong with these people?! Making and planting homemade bombs? Fannntastic.

And speaking of bombers, Bronx or otherwise, nothing makes me happier than waking up to find out that Joe Girardi is the new Yankees bench coach. A good day for NU alumni, a good day for the Yank'ums.

a month off? is this guy shitting me? tired from promoting a rap album? who does he think he is, frank thomas?

and talk about a lose-lose for the pacers. you bench him and he's just getting what he wants. try benching him w/o pay.

Why can't they bench him without pay? Could they not do that? They have to do that. Screw Artest.

I can't be mad on a day where the Yanks make a great move though...the day has carte blanche to be terrible after finding out Joey is our new bench coach.

Quick pop-in from overly-taxed Don:

Hiring Joltin Joe Girardi-o is great for Yanks. But boo on Mel coming back. How many young pitchers you developed lately Mel? Oh yeah. None. You just fuck up Vaz and his deferins.

So it's a wash today for the yanks' coaching staff.

Rick Down to Mets? Omar must have Down's Syndrome.

re: Joey G.

Did anyone catch when he was interviewed by Kenny "I'm Actually Made Of Oak" Albertson in the stands during the ALCS? He had on one of those terrible leather jackets that has the logo of every MLB team on it (I see comparable NBA jackets every morning on my express train coming from the Bronx).

It looked absolutely retarded on him, and forever changed my opinion of him. I mean, I don't have the words for how dumb it looked.

Did anyone catch this? Did I make it up?

Instant replay...I'm in favor of it. There's my post, poophop. I mean, not much more I can say really. But it can only be on plays at the bases and questionable homeruns at first. If that works, then we'll move on to outfielder's catching the ball or trapping it. That's my stance. Well, not really. Part of me also thinks that human error is part of the game and part of life...ahhh, I have no idea what I want.

Mulgrew, I didn't see that but people have talked about it before...I heard it made him look pretty ridiculous. One note, that I'm sure you knew already but mistyped -- it's Kenny Albert, as in Marv's son, not Albertson. Kenny wouldn't have a job if his last name was Albertson...

One quick Kenny Albert note -- at Game 1 of the ALDS, San Fran Chuck and I sat not twn feet from Kenny. At one point, I saw him eating some fries and felt compelled to loudly ask him how they were. He looked over, I flashed him a thumbs up, he flashed one back, and we shared a moment. Then I wore women's panties and bit his back.

Agreed on Mel -- I've said this before, Donnie's said this before...it's time for Mel to go. Who was the last guy he's brought along, and I'd hesitate before saying Pettitte because I think Clemens was more of a pitching coach to Andyboy than Mel ever was. I love Pettitte, still kinda peeved we let him go, but I guess the Boss knew more about his elbow than we did...

Sorry poophop, wasn't trying to be a dick...just saying, my thoughts are now on the page, and that's all you're getting. But appreciate the idea suggestion -- keep 'em coming, whorebag.

no problem ace, i agree with your stance on replay, just as long as it doesnt take 8 hrs to decide and ball parks dont play the jeopardy theme song while the review is going on

It looks as though Albert is propped up by a 2 X 4 in the ass from behind, while a stiff cold wind hits him from the face and he's trying to decide which is more uncomfortable. Either that or he is related to Chris Burke and Lee Westwood.

mulgrew - i think you may be confusing girardi with jim leyritz, who i definitely saw wearing that coat (and an MC hammer hat to boot). it's clearly possible that they both had them (like the yanks gave the jackets to all former players attending the game or some crap like that), but im really hoping that it wasn't joey g.

added bonus to having girardi as the bench coach: he can help mel with the pitchers...

Yes, Ethan, you're right -- it was Leyritz. Although I think Girardi could probably be the guy to wear something that riduclous...good correction. Wow, Mulgrew, factual errors left and right, dude!

And great point on Joey G and the Pitchers...probably the best point I've heard so far on the hiring. I'd say Willie will suck at that with the Mets, but he's got Rick Peterson, who knows what he's talkin about. This guy knows what I'm talkin about.

You guys are right. I am so ashamed. I haven't commented here in ages, and once I get the cajones to do so, I apparently decide to get drunk first.

Well, it was nice knowing you all. Good luck in all your endeavors, and have a wonderful life. I must now go back under my desk to await death.

Faithfully,
Jason Mulgrew
