Staring Blankly

"...after that I sorta space out for an hour. Yeah, I just stare at my desk, but it looks like I'm working. I do that for probably another hour after lunch too..."

I did a little work from 9:30 to 10:30, but I've literally been sitting still and not moving for the last 100 minutes or so. The only energy I've expended has been in the process of composing and answering e-mails, reading moronic statements on the Phantasy Phish message board and talking Division III hoops over on Ethan's li'l blog. I think I have a 104 fever and my feet hurt.

Time to get get some free lunch (free drinks one night, free lunch the next)...ain't life grand?

Can someone reply? Can we have a little comments conversation today? 'Cuz I gots nothing, and I feel like someone punched me in the dick with brass knux. Help.

was the boozing planned? unexpected binges (unlike unexpected bagels) always end badly.

you should definitely leave early. otherwise that hangover could seriously hamper your weekend.

Good luck this know who I ain't gonna be rooting for. But like I have said on here, you gotta respect the Pats for what they've done and what they're doing.

Ethan, it was a planned boozing experience, but not to the degree that it ended up being. I figured we'd belly up to the bar at 7, have a couple and head out at 9-ish. Fast forward six drinks or so (and my tolerance is lower than most high school sophomores), we stumbled out of there at a quarter to midnight or so. Craisins.

I saw Unexpected Bagels in concert -- great show. Head-bobbing.

Ace: I first thought about wishing 100 straight days of deadly hangovers upon you when I first read that Brady's grandma comment. But then I realized that you, like myself and many I know, have already punched our ticket to hell (similar to what Poophop said), so I will save myself some time and put the voodoo doll away.

Now, we all know that the whole "his grandmother's is dead two days before the big game" thing has been well overhyped by the media. But she was in her 90's and has probably been ringing death's doorbell for some time now. So, I'm thinking that it's probably not as big as everyone is making it out to be. But we can only hope that Tommy Boy pulls a Favre-Monday-Night-after-my-dad-dies game and throws for 400 yards and 5 touchdowns. At least I can only hope.

And we all know that you didn't kill her, Freddie Mitchell did.

Yeah, obviously I'm kidding about killing his grandma...but I did sexually assault her once in the early 90s. Damn, I'm sorry. That's out of line. This whole train of thought is out of line...

I don't think you're lookin' at a Favre/Daddy thing this weekend, but I think he'll be the MVP of the game again. I think Philly will focuson Dillon and open the field for Brady & Co. I'm seeing a BIG game from the highly underrated David Givens.

Any predictions Ace? I'm thinking Pats win, Philly covers, final 20-16.

There is no way that The People's Champion slayed her, as I have knowledge of his whereabouts at the time of the killing. FredEx and I were drinking Neehi Grape on the corner of Locust and 16th Street. Fred was going on and on about shorting the real estate market in London due to the strength of the pound versus the dollar and the high price of real estate in London compared to average income. I told him to calm down and that he had much bigger fish to fry in Jacksonville, at which point he said, "I'll do whatever I feels like, GOSH!"

That's my favorite comment of the year right there, jakezebra...clever girl.
