Quadruple Negative

A great find by Snacks today -- when reporters asked Mike Cameron about a potential trade to the Yank'ums, which now appears to be off, the cocked-cap centerfielder responded this way:

Don't ask me about no trade because I don't know nothing about it."

Floris, get Guinness on the phone. That's gotta be a record.

Yes, and Sheffield actually admitting he'd tank games for a different team has to be some kind of record for honesty by afaletes too.

Not that I think he doesn't tank games now, mind you.

why have i not heard one mention of the fact that this could be the WORST possible trade the yanks could make for a centerfielder (other than maybe jeter and arod for alex sanchez)??

mike cameron is hitting waaay over his head here. the mets are trying to be smart by selling high. great move for them.

but what exactly would this even solve for the bombers? who would play right? what about the fact that sheffield consistently posts OPS's of .950+ while cameron is soon to come back to his career numbers? aarrrgghhh!

if this went down, instead of bernie and sheff, the yanks trot out cameron and kevin reese. awesome.

Ethan, there's a reason there was no mention of this being a bad deal...because there was no chance it was going through.

Sheff is one of three Yankees that play with heart -- trading him is a bad idea.
