Yeah, I Know

See below. (We're okay. It's early.)

And on an unrelated note, I saw this and laughed my ass off. A former Air Force logistics officer argues that the federal response to Katrina was more than adequate and the media's response to it was shameful.

As such, he wanted to "clarify the following for the idiots in the Left Wing Media." Here's his fourth point: "We do not yet have teleporter nor replicator technology like you saw on 'Star Trek' in college between hookah hits and waiting to pick up your worthless communications degree while the grownups actually engaged in the recovery effort today were studying engineering."

For the record, I definitely took a fair amount of hookah hits with the engineering students. One of 'em even made Hoobs and me a little bong from a beaker.

And also, I read this Op-Ed this weekend, and loved it.

As an engineer by education and trade, I love how some of my fellow engineers are absolutely convinced that anyone without an engineering degree is incapable of contributing anything of value to society.

other than the point you highlighted (which is a clearly retarded statement - everyone knows engineering types watch waaay more sci-fi shit than anyone else), everything he said is true though, right?

At least the Cowboys won. Not that you care, but it makes me feel good.

"Oh think twice, it's just another day for you, you and me in paradise." -- Phil Collins

Jonathan Vilma walked to the team bus late yesterday with a going-away present from the Jets' 27-7 loss to the Chiefs. Two presents, actually -- an ice pack and a swollen upper lip. The latter came from a teammate's fist. According to an eyewitness, Jets Vilma and James Reed engaged in a fiery bench altercation in which Reed took a swing at Vilma. It occurred in the third quarter, typifying an afternoon that went horribly wrong.

"Jews killed my puppy Rex and I hate deaf people and retards." --Phil Collins

I love in-fighting. Gets people riled up. Vilma's a big boy, he can handle it. 15-1.

I contribute nothing to society, so he's got me there, dhodge, but yeah, engineers are about the most smug bunch of nerds I know. Yeah, I said it.

At least you're not a Packer fan. I'm gonna go jump off a bridge now. It's a small bridge, so I should be OK, but still, a bridge nonetheless.

KC's going to make a lot of teams look bad, but I'd be pretty worried about Chadwhick. Where's the armstrength? I mean, he should at least be strong enough to hold onto the ball.

Did you ever hear that rumor about how Phil Collins saw some dude drown his friend and then he sang "In The Air Tonight" at him at a concert and that guy committed suicide? Well, that's not true.

But I heard that Jonathan Vilma was singing the Shania Twain tune "Man, I Feel Like A Woman" at James Reed for some reason. But these are just unsubstanitated rumors which have no business spreading on the interweb.

I'm a little concerned about Chad, sure. But let's see what happened next week. I'd definitely be a bit more concerned if I were a Packers fan.

I'm moving on, no more hindsight.
