Song recs? Well, I'm actually not the biggest Wilco fan in the world...I like their stuff, but for some reason it doesn't grab me like it grabs everyone else in the universe.

For me, it begins and ends with Jesus, Etc. What a tune!

And anything off Yankee Hotel Foxtrot is pretty good.

"She's a Jar" - kind of mellow, nice little slide guitar riffs

"In a Future Age" - stripped down with minimal drums, accordian, tambourine, acoustic guitar. There's also another version called "In a Future Age (Alternate Take)", which is a faster version.

"Spiders (kidsmoke) - nice little beat

"The Late Greats" - toe-tapping

"Handshake Drugs" - It's just good.

Living in Miami, I will definitely be attending Langerado. I didn't go last year, but heard it was awesome. I am a big Lyrics Born fan, as well as RJD2 - neermind Ben Harper, Wilco, The Black Crowes, G. Love etc.

i know everyone loves wilco, but i have also felt that i have not understood the acclaim that is bestowed upon them. what am i missing? i listen to their music and it is good, but what is it that people rave about?

The three best Wilco songs are Box Full of Letters, Casino Queen, and Outta Mind Outta Sight/Outta Sight Outta Mind.

Jesus Etc. is also super-duper, like Ace said, as is most of YHF, but only if you're in a mellow mood.

Also note that, while these songs are quite good, Wilco is in general very overrated.

Let me put in a plug for Company in My Back and I'm a Wheel off of AGIB as well.

I love Wilco now, but I owned YHF for more than two years before REALLY getting into it. Loved AGIB instantly.
