You're Awesome

They just announced this year's Golden Globe nominees, and I want to issue some hearty congratulations to the future Mrs. Cowboy, Mary-Louise Parker, for her Best Actress in a TV Series (comedy) nomination.

While I do enjoy the Golden Globe Awards more than the Oscars or Emmys, I'm really only excited about this news because it means MLP will be in attendance at the ceremony and dressed to kill.

Beat those Desperate Housewives, girl. If you're looking for a full list of this year's nominees, you can find that right here.

Slack Song of the Day: Scrubs featured former Men At Work lead singer Colin Hay on its season two premiere, and I've been infatuated ever since by the two songs they played. So thanks to Zach Braff for helping me get in touch with my soft acoustic side. Here's Beautiful World and an acoustic version of MAW's Overkill.

Wow! You do have good taste. When you marry her, will you beat the crap out of her smarmy-fuck ex-boyfriend, Billy Big Fish? Hate that guy.

Wow, you managed to get two things I love in a single post. MLP kills me...especially when she was on the West Wing. I thought I was alone in my love of MLP. And that acoustic Overkill is 12.7x better than the original.

I told my wife that I will divorce her and marry MLP if I ever get the chance. She's OK with that.

Weeds - OK show, needs to get some writers with a little more grace (not sure if that makes sense).

DH is the most overrated show in this history of television. I can't stand those chicks.

I wasn't all that thrilled with Angels in America, but MLP was great in that. Fine work in Grand Canyon as well. Isn't she going to play opposite Brad Pitt as Jesse James' wife? I'm sure she'll be great, but Brad Pitt is the wrong choice for that role.

MLP in The West Wing is one of the greatest characters ever. Even when she says something so sad as "Honey, Simon Donovan was shot and killed" she's still hot as shit. She needs to be on the show again in a bigger role. Weeds isn't very good, yet I still watched every episode at least once, usually twice a week -- I mean, MLP and pot...that show was written for me, right?

As for Russell Hammond himself, Billy Crudup, I'm torn. I HATE him for leaving my gal when she was eight months preggers (and for who? Danes? Over MLP? C'mon!). But he was also THE MAN in Almost Famous, and that counts for something. Plus, him leaving opened the door for me.

And Brad Pitt is a fucking great actor, so I have no problem casting him as anyone. I'm sure he can pull it off.

Okay, I'll be the first to admit that I'm not up to speed on what's going on in Hollywood so bear with me a sec. My question for you, Ace, is about Billy Crudup. Are you telling me that Billy is dating Claire Danes? Because if that's true, that is just crazy. She bacame famouse by going after Jordan Cattalano, played by Jared Letto, in "My So-called Life." Letto later played Steve Prefontaine in "Prefontaine" which came out at exactly the same time as the other superior Prefontaine biopic, "Without Limits," which starred Billy Crudup as Pre.

Um, wow. 6 degrees of Claire Danes.

I have no idea if they're still dating, as I'm not all up on celebrity gossip, but Crudup definitely left an eight-months pregnant MLP for Danes. Terrible decision, just atrocious.

Good work on the Six Degrees.
