Brain-Damaged Eggmen

*Videos have been updated with new YSI links as of 8/8/06*

I'm done with Super Bowl XL, but the good people over at Football Outsiders enjoyed one last roundtable e-discussion today. And since it's pretty fine analysis and opinion, and since this post will be very music-related, I'll send you all over there for a post-game wrap party.

Now, onto the Brain-Damaged Eggman. One of the most sought after performances from last month's JamCruise 4 isn't a well-established touring act. Rather, it's a supergroup quintet with a clever name that played two sets worth of Pink Floyd and Beatles covers.

Jake Cinninger, Brendan Bayliss and Kris Myers of Umphrey's McGee joined Marc Brownstein and Aron Magner of The Disco Biscuits for the show, and the results are fun to watch. I'm not sure where you can find the full audio, but someone just alerted me to 10 lengthy videos from the performance, including a knock-'em-down, drag-'em-out Hey Jude with about half the ship on stage.

The videos come courtesy of YouSendIt, so they should expire some time in the very near future. I suggest watching or downloading these clips as soon as you can. (Ir)Regardless, check out some highlights:

Pink Floyd vids
Breathe
In the Flesh
Nobody, Brain Damage > Eclipse
